Leeman studied theatre at Kenyon College, APSU, and the British American Drama Academy before working on numerous shows in Toronto. There, he was a member of Monkeyman Productions and performed at the Alumnae Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Village Playhouse, Toronto Fringe Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and many others.
